Alumnus Daniel Burget earned the Bronze Congressional Award Medal and the Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificates in 2003.

For Voluntary Public Service, Burget attended Youth Service Retreats around the state and organized community clean-up projects in his hometown of Wright, Wyoming. He also coached various youth athletics.

For his Personal Development goal, Burget worked on his archery and carpentry skills.

Burget placed in multiple events at the State Championships during high school while working on a goal of improving his golf game for Physical Fitness.

For his Expedition, Burget worked on a farm in northern Montana during the haying season.

“My goals gave me the ability to know that if I strive to complete a task, I will always find success,” Burget said. “I applied that to my schooling and was able to land a fulltime job before I was out of college.”

Burget is originally from Wright, Wyoming, but now resides in Laramie, Wyoming. He is the sales and marketing consultant for Handel IT.

“I chose this occupation because I enjoy talking with customers, as well as helping a local business startup,” he said.

Burget continues to golf and enjoys camping, fishing and hunting. He watches all Wyoming Athletics and farms for a friend in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. Burget will be married in August of 2013.
